UCA launches new MA courses for fashion professionals

At UCA, we’ve enhanced our postgraduate portfolio with the introduction of four new Fashion courses for September 2016 entry – MA Printed Textiles for Fashion & Interiors at our Rochester campus, and MA Fashion Marketing & Communication, MA Fashion Business & Management and MBA Fashion Business at our Epsom campus.

These exciting new courses will produce a group of international creative professionals, all ready for careers in the fashion industry. By launching these new courses we’re building on our success in the world of fashion, having been ranked in the top 20 global Fashion Schools by the media company Business of Fashion.

Our new MA Printed Textiles for Fashion & Interiors course will develop our students’ creative vision within professional practice, with a practice-based and design-led experience. Students will have freedom to explore and combine traditional, handcrafted design and production techniques with the latest innovations in digital technology. This Rochester-based course will provide an opportunity to specialise in fashion and interiors, enabling our students to work in a range of industries – read more about it here.

Particularly global in its focus, our new MA Fashion Business & Management course has been designed for those looking to excel in business within fashion management positions. Our Epsom campus is home to the first MBA specifically tailored to the creative industries, and our new MBA Fashion Business course has been designed for fashion managers with experience who are looking to build their innovative practice and find new solutions to global issues within fashion business. “We are excited to launch a new portfolio of fashion MAs and an MBA,” said Thomass Atkinson, Head of our School of Fashion. “The new courses respond to the need to educate future fashion business entrepreneurs and practitioners at MA level, who will push the boundaries of their chosen practice. The MAs are located to complement the culture already established in fashion business at UCA Epsom and in textile, crafts and making at UCA Rochester.”
