Thirty Years in the Making – All That Remains is a celebration of Neil’s thirty years as a textile artist and innovator, featuring wall-hung pieces that combine traditional analogue craft with cutting edge digital approaches. The pieces in All That Remains incorporate Neil’s own personal archive of family photographs, exploring nostalgia in the digital age and ideas of the past interacting with the present and future. Neil said: “My context is an autobiographical narrative printed onto cloth, a memory bank, in which both physical photographic prints and digitally captured images are deconstructed and re-presented."

Born in the 1960s, Neil describes himself as a “digital settler” – which sets him apart in terms of pushing hybrid boundaries. He was one of the first in his field to embrace the digital as the main method of creating, using it to craft refined one-off pieces in contrast to the mass production usually associated with digital printmaking. His work is held in collections all over the globe and he has won multiple awards.
