Some of Epsom’s most creative and inspiring individuals visited UCA last night (15 November) for the annual Epsom & Ewell Business Awards, hosted by the Rt Hon Chris Grayling.
Housed in UCA’s Business School for the Creative Industries – based at UCA Epsom – the awards celebrated everything from design and technology to environmental commitment and customer service, with winners named across a total of 12 categories.
Professor Bashir Makhoul, Vice-Chancellor of UCA, opened the event by welcoming visitors to the University. He said: “It is a pleasure to once again host the Epsom & Ewell Business Awards here at UCA, and to see some of the area’s most innovative and creative individuals recognised for their success, hard work and achievements over the past year.”
This is the sixth successive year that the Epsom & Ewell Business Awards have been held at UCA Epsom, which opened the Business School for the Creative Industries last year. Working closely with businesses and industries from all kinds of sectors, the School supports and nurtures creative individuals, equipping them with the necessary skills to navigate today’s evolving and expanding business landscape.
Earlier this year, UCA was named Modern University of the Year by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, in part because of the work being done through the business school to create a new generation of graduates who are ready to face the challenges of the modern working world.
