Teaching and life at UCA 2021-2022

Teaching and life at UCA
for 2021-2022

Throughout the pandemic, we’ve done everything we can to maintain the personalised creative experience UCA is known for, and this year is no different. Read on to find out what to expect from studying at UCA in 2021-2022.

Please remember, we’re continually reviewing how we work, in line with Government Covid-19 guidelines.

We are offering as much personalised teaching with our academic and technical experts as we can, working to Public Health England guidelines and Government restrictions. This includes access to libraries and our state-of-the-art facilities, from animation suites and virtual reality labs to weaving looms, printing presses and pottery kilns. Where it has been shown to enhance learning and your student experience, individual courses will be delivering some of their activities online, but in the main teaching will take place on our campuses.

You can find specific information about how courses are running and how they could change if further Government restrictions are imposedin our 2021 course welcome guides.

We are asking students to join us on campus to learn and collaborate with their course leaders and peers in person. Please check our Coronavirus information for international students page for more informationor contact your course team or admissions to discuss this further.

We plan to run study trips – domestically and, hopefully, abroad, too. However, this is still a fluid situation, and all trips will be subject to whatever COVID-19 related restrictions are in place at that time.

If you are due to be on an incoming exchange or wish to take part in a study abroad programme, please contact for more information.

Our Students’ Union has a wide range of social activities, clubs and communities for new and returning studentsCheck out the amazing assortment of clubs and societies taking place across our campuses and opportunities to join or start a UCASU community.

Please remember, going forward, for some events you may need to be fully Covid-19 vaccinated. For more information on vaccination, check out our Staying Safe on Campus, page.
