CAM Technical Tutor
Helen is highly skilled, with over 24 years’ industrial experience and knowledge in computer aided manufacture and manual pattern cutting skills. She has 19years of delivering Gerber training to BA (Hons) students in fashion at the University for the Creative Arts, Rochester.
Bio
Helen's key specialisms include pattern development, grading, digitizing, marker making, costings, measurement specs, 1st patterns and production patterns, all to a high industrial standard.
She is computer literate in Illustrator, Microsoft Office (ECDL qualification) AutoCAD, premier pro. Digital textile printing using Mimaki printers.
Helen’s previous experience, a pattern cutter/technologist in the fashion industry in ladies separates, men’s and women’s leisurewear, swimwear, children’s wear, babywear, bespoke men’s and women’s shirts.
Helen studied at UCA (formally Medway College of Design). Qualifications to date: PGCERT, HEA fellowship – Fellow, BTEC HND in fashion design & TEC diploma in Fashion Technology.
