Monumental Megastructures:

A six-week architectural masterclass of designing, drawing, thinking and making, introducing students to spatial practice and guiding them through the development of their own speculative megastructures. Students will be supported in the development of an architecture portfolio and working towards achieving a nationally recognised Trinity Bronze Arts Award qualification. This short course is suitable for students interested in studying both Architecture and Interior Architecture & Design.

UCA’s Online Bronze Arts Award course is suitable for students who are studying or have an interest in creative subjects and would like to develop their skills and portfolio. Applicants must be studying in Year 12 or 13 and be able to attend each session of the six-week programme. All applicants must be UK residents and be residing in the UK for the duration of the course.

This online course provides an opportunity for young people to access free art and design tuition from a higher education institution to support them in the development of their portfolio of work. This Arts Award course is also designed for students who may not otherwise have the chance to access such an opportunity.

To take part in this Online Arts Award Programme you will need to have access to the Internet either by computer, laptop or phone on the dates outlined below. All creative materials required will be provided free of charge.

This work is funded through the UCA's Access and Participation Plan's commitment as approved by the Office for Students (OfS). The programme is aimed at supporting students who are under-represented in Higher education. For further information and a list of the under-represented groups, please refer to the OfS approach to access and participation

Allocation will be based on the eligibility criteria of priority for under-represented groups along with your personal statement, where we would like to see an evident passion for the subject.
