Senior Lecturer in Film History
Andy is a senior lecturer in film history on our Film Production course, and has taught film history at the University full time since 1990.
Bio
Before coming to lecturing his background was in art and design history and he has an MA in Cultural Studies.
Research statement
Andrew has a particular interest in the history of documentary cinema, experimental cinema and the cinema associated with the various New Wave movements across Europe, South America and Japan.
He maintains an interest in philosophy and psychoanalysis and is currently undertaking research into the New Wave cinema of Czechoslovakia.
