Joseph Taylor McRae has lectured at University for the Creative Arts for 4 years, alongside working with NUA and a number of London gallery spaces.
Joseph Taylor McRae is a researcher, writer and lecturer interested in the relationship between video games and contemporary art, and how problematic discourses from art history and aesthetic philosophy are perpetuated and reconfigured in the video game medium.
He was also editor of Art/Games, an interdisciplinary journal bringing artists, art writers and games writers into a shared publishing space.
He holds a Master of Arts in Critical Writing in Art and Design from the Royal College of Arts, and a First Class Hons. Bachelors in Critical Fine Art Practice from the University of Brighton
