Jo Hurley

Jo Hurley leads our BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion & Imaging course, and has been a senior lecturer at UCA for seven years. Jo has a degree in Fashion Design with Retail Management from UCE (now Birmingham City University).

After graduation, she went on to work in trend prediction and forecasting, gaining experience at WGSN, The Future Laboratory and Hemingway Design working on trend-led solutions for a diverse range of clients including Thomas Pink, Marks & Spencer, Olay, Orange and the BBC.

Jo has been published in Viewpoint Magazine, and has most recently worked with London-based information design agency Signal Noise, researching lifestyle futures for O2.

A vintage obsessive, she's also designed the Vintage London app for My Pocket Guide.

At UCA Epsom, Jo takes a key role in helping students to find work placement opportunities with companies such as Selfridges, Garrard, Marks & Spencer and WGSN, and leads units on fashion marketing and trend prediction.

External examination:

Jo acted as an External Examiner at Northbrook College on BA (Hons) Fashion Media and Promotion, and holds the same position at AKTO (Athens) on BA (Hons) Fashion Design.
