Since 2008, Dr Hocine Bougdah has been a reader and subject area leader for Architectural Technology and the Environment. Among his responsibilities are the design, development and delivery of the architectural technology curriculum on the BA and MArch courses.
Dr Bougdah’s academic and professional career started after completing a PhD at the Liverpool School of Architecture in 1991. Over the past 25 years he occupied a number of academic positions in various institutions, including lecturer/senior lecturer, course director (BSc Architectural Technology), subject group leader (head of department of Environmental Science and Engineering), departmental research coordinator and admissions tutor.
Hocine's academic experience extends to course design and validation, teaching, academic management and quality assurance processes. He also serves on a number of university wide committees. Alongside his academic role, he runs an acoustic design/consultancy practice.
