Annamarie is currently undertaking an Education Doctorate at Kingston University. Her research is exploring academic discourses around Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and what factors contribute to participatory learning cultures.
Annamarie is the university Learning and Teaching Facilitator based in the department of Research & Development. She is also the Unit Leader of the non-credit bearing HEA-accredited professional recognition scheme for experienced staff. She has a professional background in libraries with other twenty years’ experience in public and academic libraries, and a specialism in HE art and design settings. She is the university lead for Peer Supported Review (university framework for reflective practice) and is currently writing a SEDA Special on reflection in learning and teaching. This is also the subject of her current research for her doctorate (Annamarie is in the third year of a part time Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD) at Kingston University). Annamarie has a keen interest in leadership and management and the ways in which a learning and teaching facilitator could support disciplinary leadership development. Her research is exploring reflective practice in creative arts learning and teaching cultures, with a particular emphasis on converged professional identities.
