Stopgap in Stop Motion

STEPHEN FEATHERSTONE 2017
“Stopgap in Stop Motion” is an animated film using stop motion, replacement and cut out techniques (duration 4’ 40”). The work was commissioned by Stopgap Dance Company and depicts photographs of performers in an inclusive dance company that come to life.

Light Dial - Rambert New Choreography Platform

REBECCA WATERWORTH and EVELYN BENNETT 2017
Light Dial was a collaboration between the Rambert Dance Company, Collectress and the artists ( Evelyn Bennett and Chris Rutter) to design and make wearable sculptural costumes for the dancers and performers in a new piece of work. Fabric with original designs were printed and made into the costume pieces.  

 

Taniwah

MIRIAM AUSTIN 2017
Miriam Austin is currently developing a research project called 'Taniwha', part of which will be included in the exhibition 'On the Heights' at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, open Oct 28th- Dec 3rd 2017. Miriam's work considers the ways in which folkloric narratives and practices are ‘written’ into the landscape through traces of ritual activity, architecture, monuments and earthworks.

Circularity in Work and Play

MARK SELBY 2016
Using research gathered from the National Fairground Archive and working directly with a bespoke bicycle frame maker, the project developed a sculptural work and written paper that explores the commodification of experience in spaces of work and leisure.

Inland Far - Herbert Read Reimagined

An exploration of Herbert Read's only novel in relation to contemporary Arts Practice culminating in an exhibition curated by Susan. 

Trace Engines

GARY CLOUGH 2016
A two week residency in Red Tory Art Zone in the centre of Guangzhou culminating in a solo exhibition at the AIP (Arts International Programme China) Gallery.
