Our exciting residential and non-residential summer schools were led by experienced creative practitioners and industry professionals. They gave students a chance to experience living and learning like a university student. Through events and workshops students gained the confidence and capacity to express their design ideas and to enhance their visual literacy.
Students were helped to identify their strengths and realise their potential. Below is a sample of what was on offer.

Students were asked to create a unique café offering delicious food and drinks for cyclists, runners and walkers. Through the use of digital and traditional media, students created free-standing structures that where both welcoming and functional.
"Thank you to everyone for making my attendance at the Cycle Cafe Summer School a very memorable one. You made me feel very welcome. It was great fun, very helpful and informative, and I've learnt a lot in just 3 days, both creatively and teamwork."
"Three days at UCA was absolutely epic. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for Interior Architecture. This has shed a whole new light on my university choice as well as choices for the future. This summer school was a great way of giving someone an idea of just how amazing art courses can be."

"My daughter attended the summer school, she was very apprehensive but thanks to the staff she had a great time. The course built her confidence, she was able to learn and make items for her portfolio and met new friends on the course that she has kept in touch with to discuss university options. Overall an enjoyable and worthwhile experience."
